In order of occurrence…

Eric and Sue Clutton
…for allowing us to wed in their home, as well as coordinating the countless errands that every wedding requires. This included, the photographer (Bim), flowers (Jenny), catering (Lina), buying the wedding cake and decorations, hosting 7 people in their home at the same time, helping coordinate travel arrangements, and handling pre-wedding dinner reservations, just to name a few. The English wedding could not have occurred without them!

Robert Hartman (Marian's Father)
…for making hotel reservations, and keeping me (somewhat) calm during all the planning that had to occur before everybody headed to England. Both Dad and Mom coming to watch our wedding from Indiana was wonderful also.

Joy Hartman (Marian's Mother)
…for sketching my wedding dress/cape and flower arrangements, making my pearl tiara, and choosing the great Lily of the Valley wedding linen for the reception…oh, and all around wedding advice!!

Noelle and Denny Read
…for traveling to England from their Alabama home in order for Noelle to perform our wedding ceremony.

Bekki Mancino
…for taking time out of her busy Royal Academy of Music schedule to travel to Devon from her London home so that we could have live music for the wedding on Eric and Sue's lovely Bosendorfer piano.

Jon and Carol Hall (Eric's parents)
…for traveling from their Ohio home to England, as well as supplying a wonderful pre-wedding dinner at The Rock. This is the brochure that I picked up for memories. I would love to "pop" over there for a quick 3 day stay!

Jenny
…for doing such an awesome job creating the flowers and the impromptu designing she did in order for the flowers to appropriately match the house. I must say that the real flowering mistletoe hanging from the hall light was the best!

Rev. Graham Hamilton
…for performing a wonderful and memorable blessing ceremony in the beautiful church next to Eric and Sue's home.

…for patiently snapping pictures in the rain while we enjoyed the comforts of overhead protection. J

Lina
…for creating the best food on both sides of the Atlantic! Although I wanted to take all the leftovers with me, Eric did not think that they would last well through Malta and Rome before we got back home. By the end of that meal, my already tightly fitted dress felt … very tight.

Other helpful people:

• The AAA agent, LeAnn, who was very helpful with the entire plane ticketing process.
• The London Rail ticketing agents. I started to realize just how much I had talked to them when I walked up to the pick-up counter in London and the lady exclaimed, "You must be the wedding party!" They were so very helpful to me though, and never got impatient with me once.
• The kind train conductor, who having felt badly for charging the difference between the train we missed and the one we were on once he discovered we were on honeymoon, gave us a first class car seating and a free bottle of champagne.
• The wonderful store owner in Malta, who upon discovering we were on honeymoon, and loving the USA, gave us a free bottle of fantastic Maltese wine. He was also great with the packing of an oversized framed picture that we bought there. He knew of the trouble we'd encounter getting it to the States.
• The sweet fellow at the Malta airlines, who upon discovering we were on honeymoon, assigned us to First Class airline seating to Rome, and free passes to the Executive Lounge until the plane was ready.
• The understanding airport agents at Malta, Rome and Toronto, who realized that we were innocent honeymooners that really wanted that huge oversized picture on the plane rather than thrown in with the luggage since it had glass and we didn't want it broken, and that we weren't terrorists planning to break the picture to create glass weapons, of which we were nearly accused of in Rome. I wanted to explain to them that if I wanted to hurt somebody, I wouldn't bother with the glass, but I thought it best to leave that argument alone and accept their mercy! ;)
• A huge thank you to my Tae Kwon Do students, Neal Kuenne, Dottie Henckel, and Ellen Leonard, who kept the club's classes going throughout the 3 weeks Eric and I were gone!

Showers and Parties!

• My employer, AUL, in July on my last day of employment gave me a nice "goodbye" and "bridal shower" party.
• My class at Indiana Wesleyan University gave me a great send-off gift certificate on our last day of classes before graduation.
• Dottie Henckel and Ellen Leonard hosted a bridal shower for me, which was totally awesome. If you could taste Dottie's homemade sushi, you would agree!
• My employer at the time in November, Hines Interests, gave me a nice team bridal shower…never have seen men at a shower. I suspect it was the food and great cake that was the main motivator for attendance ;)
• Upon our return from honeymoon, many of our friends and family attended our open house, which was a great time!
